'Tranquility' is a place that you come to when you finally close the door on unfortunate circumstances, realize how far you have come with God's help, and try to move on.
As the sun sets at the end of the day, no matter how hard that day has been, there is subtle beauty in the ending and an unspoken promise of a new beginning. Reflections on what has passed bring a calm, a clarity and a feeling of peace. As the colours fade into night's darkness, there is no despair; just rest and renewal, and hope in the day that lies ahead.
About Roshanne Minnis-Eyma
Bahamian artist Roshanne Eyma, daughter of artist and singer/songwriter, Eddie Minnis and Grace Minnis, was born on May 4, 1972. Her interest in art began early in life, growing up surrounded by a family of artists. She started painting seriously when she was 14 years old. She graduated from Queen's College, Nassau Bahamas, in 1988. She received awards in several local art competitions. She has also participated in a number of joint exhibitions with her father, Eddie Minnis, and sister, Nicole. A special highlight of her artistic career was the Minnis Family Retrospective Exhibition held at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas in Nassau from July to November of 2014.
