Children nowadays have little need of imagination. With all the technology available, everything is ready-made. On the island, things are more the way they used to be. This cute girl in Sandbank, Abaco, is at play with what she has, even if it appears to us to be nothing at all, to create her own castle in the sky.
About Roshanne Minnis-Eyma
Bahamian artist Roshanne Eyma, daughter of artist and singer/songwriter, Eddie Minnis and Grace Minnis, was born on May 4, 1972. Her interest in art began early in life, growing up surrounded by a family of artists. She started painting seriously when she was 14 years old. She graduated from Queen's College, Nassau Bahamas, in 1988. She received awards in several local art competitions. She has also participated in a number of joint exhibitions with her father, Eddie Minnis, and sister, Nicole. A special highlight of her artistic career was the Minnis Family Retrospective Exhibition held at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas in Nassau from July to November of 2014.
