Bold textures and colours in this brilliant sunset overlooking the bay at Bustic Bight, Abaco. Although the fury of the sun lurks behind the silhouette of the landscape, the afterglow fades from bright yellows to misty blue and purple hues. A signal of the end of a beautiful day, and a foregleam of endless possibilities in the one ahead.
About Roshanne Minnis-Eyma
Bahamian artist Roshanne Eyma, daughter of artist and singer/songwriter, Eddie Minnis and Grace Minnis, was born on May 4, 1972. Her interest in art began early in life, growing up surrounded by a family of artists. She started painting seriously when she was 14 years old. She graduated from Queen's College, Nassau Bahamas, in 1988. She received awards in several local art competitions. She has also participated in a number of joint exhibitions with her father, Eddie Minnis, and sister, Nicole. A special highlight of her artistic career was the Minnis Family Retrospective Exhibition held at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas in Nassau from July to November of 2014.
